i finished the bbk install on the triton r4 and also removed the oil pump and vac petcock. i left the fuel filter in the tank but all the fittings, hose and inline filter are now 1/4. gas flow seems to be more like a trickle. i put the battery in and tried to start the engine but not even a sputter. i opened the drain at the bottom of the float bowel and got a lot of bubbles out. i let it drain for a 1/2 cup, then it fired right up. should i remove that filter in the tank ii seems to be a bottle neck for gas flow..
sorry this should be in the 2t section

resovled by seafoam. must have been a varnish dam at the intank filter. the varnish must have been near water white as i did pull the filter for a look, but then 66 year old eyes are not that great. better known as the senior defense.

I've never really had a problem with the filter unless it's dirty. I've been running my scoots with no filters there though, just the inline filters. Easier to find and replace the inline filters.
