So a year ago I put the stretch on the vino 50 which made it look awesome. There have been some drawbacks I have noticed this past year.
1) it handles a little worse. Its not as easy to maneuver. But who cares because the look is on point.
2) by extending the back, I lowered the center of gravity and lowered the engine which has caused some clearance issues. I received a home made adapter for the stock rear shock when I bought the kit off another member. That part worked great. What I didnt count on was putting stress on the shock it wasnt designed to take and at a much more extreme angle than it usually would have been.
So last week I hit a bump and the whole stock assembly broke. The spring was still intact but the assembly was no longer dampening any road conditions. I thought a while back about getting a new shock and looked at the 125cc vino rear shock. It looked like it bolted up just like the 50cc stock so I found one cheap online and put it on tonight.
I can report that the clearance issue is gone. It dampens the road much better than 50cc shock and is a direct bolt on with literally no funny business. The ride position seems to back to where it was before I had the stretch kit installed which has a less aggressive look now but overall rides extremely nice. If anyone is looking to do a Vino stretch on a 50cc I would highly recommend buying a shock to go along with it. Theyre easy to find used and cheap.
Hope this helps someone.

So did you stretch the Vino or a ruckus? Did you use the Kiesler kit mentioned previously in this thread? Thanks for the info!

Sorry oldgeek I edited the post. I have a few scooter projects going on! Yes it was indeed on the Vino 50 and I used the Keisler kit for the stretch. I can post pics shortly.

Isnt there a way to post pictures without using photobucket or another host?

You have to use your own host now. Too many scantily clad women on the old one.

It's a 4 inch stretch and it does affect the shock. I have something made that bolts right on to the Zuma and could possibly be modified to fit your bike? I'm not sure, but it's fairly easy to redo the shock mount. With stock handlebars you'll also need a longer brake cable (usually) and sometimes even a longer throttle cable. 70 dollars btw obo. Comes with shock adapter that may or may not be useless EDIT: Dammit, I paid a hundred dollars for it plus shipping and now SIP is selling it for 60 plus shipping... Damn, I guess I'll sell it for 45. There's nothing wrong with it and it doesn't look used at all. It does not come with the custom black subframe that's also in this picture: do you still have this? i'mm interested in it.
