Ding! Perfect answer. <end thread> ;D But to follow in the spirit of the thread... Scoot : 2006 Genuine Buddy Purchase date : June 2006 Mileage : about 19000 (it didn't have an odometer for all of 2010) Crashes : 1 step off at about 1mph while trying to do a cool hook skid in gravel. no damage. Scoot : 2004 Yamaha Zuma Purchase date : July 2006 Mileage : about 150. Sold it within 2 months for $1000 more than I paid for it. Crashes : none Scoot : 2006 Honda Big Ruckus Purchase date : June 2007 Mileage : 24500 Crashes : None Scoot : 1980 Vespa P200E Purchase date : July 2009 Mileage : 3600 Crashes : none Scoot(s) : TnG Venice and L'S49 Purchase date : Feb 2011 Mileage : 0. Both bikes are being pieced into one FRO scoot. (For racing only) My mileage numbers need to be handicapped somehow though because I realize the difference between a 200 mile day on a Zuma and a 200 mile day on a Big Ruckus.

I've been meaning to pick up one of those aluminum bottles just in case I decided to carry a small amount of fuel for an emergency, just never have. I wish I could fit a big gas can under my seat. I dunno if I ever tried a 1 gal though. Hmmm. I have one in the shed from the old 2T weed whacker too. The seat of a Triton will fit a 1 gallon perfectly, as long as its the kind that the nozzle goes inside of. Everytime I fill up my scoot, I always bring a 1 gallon can along and fill that up too. Saves on trips to the gas station when I can fill up right in the garage before a ride ;D Oh, and I'm not EXACTLY sure about my scoot stats, but here goes: 2005 Vento Triton R4 Bought used on April 28th 2009 Original miles when bought: 4700ish? Miles now: nearly 6000? Most miles in a day: about 50

Ok, ok im more in the spirit now. The local law just wont leave me alone so its tuff to ride as much as i want to. When i do get in the mood to go on a good ride the thought of the 'heat' usually stops me anymore . First scoot- I got a 1983 Honda Express back in 1994 for $100 and rode it home! I put about 2-3,000miles on it( a full season) and sold it for what i had in it. Then about 6 months later i got it back for free. Yes free! the kid i sold it to had tore the heck out of it. And had it all messed up and it wouldnt start so he gave it to me ;D. I piled all the parts on it and drug it back home (across the street) and tore down, cleaned and inspected. Turns out he ran it outta oil and tore the jug and piston up. A local shop happened to have a 'junk' Honda Express beside the dumpster, what luck huh? Soo, i talked my mother into letting my brother barrow the car and take me to get it. She was a cool mom and let us go check it out. My brother was up for it just cause he got to drive the car lol. I went up and asked about it and they said its junk you can have it! So we stuffed it into the trunk of the GrandAm and off we went. I took the head off the parts until and the top-end looked very usable compared to the old so i swapped em out and road that sucker for another year before trading it for a good bicycle ;D. The scooter blew up on the kid the next day so i guess it was good timing . I was told he road it pretty much non-stop from the time we traded tho, so i didnt feel so bad. Ahh, the memories! Second Scooter- A 1985 Honda Spree. I got two of em for $200 back in 1995. One was a parts unit. I road that sucker for almost two years...Dunno how many miles? Only one piston and rings ;D! It would do about 35-40 at a bazillion RPM. Next scooter wasnt until 2000. It was a 99 Yamaha Jog Next Zone. Stock and ran 5? tucked! I miss that one bad ! Make a great drag scooter these days. I just didnt know about the scooter aftermarket back then. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyQe2ChjBnUThen here i am now. Got Skeedr in Feb of 09 and been loving it since. Got a 2001 Aprilia DiTech last December. That was fun to learn and feel what the hype was all about. They are great scoots, but blown outta proportion IMO. The there is my trusty 03 Kymco Cobra i got last summer, AKA "Work Truck". All stock, great daily driver! Put about 1,500 or so on it maybe? Dunno, speedo is still broke ! Keeps the mileage down tho . Sorry to ramble, thats my scoots in a nutshell

I bought a cheap map of NC and am working on highlighting back roads to my common destinations out of town (Camera shop, European grocery store, etc.) as well as marking gas stations.

IIRC you had an engine seizure that locked the tire up for one crash, what was the other jmk? yep a crank failure at 60 mph was the last one the first one an idiot cager towing a boat turned lanes into me my choice was try and ride it out and i didnt have enough room or ditch and roll into the median so i layed her down and went into the median instead of being draged by the trailer
