Dave good tool. But you hit two distinct chords with me.When you have repeated an activity 10,000 times and an internet "expert" scoffs at you does it just make the veins in your head almost explode or is it just my age? Does your wife come in the shop just as you are "just" about at the point of accomplishing a very, fiddly, tricky, task and look lost when the words flow?

So you can see the guys here in the video using pneumatic impact guns to turn the head bolts and if you watch the guy at 3:30, in about 20 seconds he reaches over, grabs and installs the lower chain guide while he finishes slipping the cylinder onto the engine and immediately grabs two dowels, slides them onto the studs and then starts reaching for the head gasket when they cut away. 20 seconds from inserting the piston in the cylinder to being ready to slide the head onto the studs. It took me a minute to figure out that they line up the cam using the cam chain to fine adjust the piston position prior to installing the head and with no stator or flywheel attached the engine stays put at TDC.

There is no hurry if you are doing this for yourself and I would caution anyone doing it for the first time to go slow and think before you proceed to the next step. Better safe than sorry but the truth is is that these are really simple little engines and once you are familiar with 'em they are a snap.

My first bbk took me at least four hours. Now with Ryobi drill I can do it in about 30 minutes. That's with the engine already pulled from frame. But pulling the motor is only another ten minutes. So I personally agree with Fox statement of doing a swap in 30 minutes. Completely doable. Just look at drag racing's mechanics. They tear down and rebuild an entire V8 in about an hour. That's way more involved than a single cylinder scooter engine. So there...
