Well after i got my "new" (30 year old) Kawasaki a little over a month ago, My friend Vince caught the bug and got one too. His is a little bigger but a 30 year old classic as well. So now "Jet" has a playmate to get into mischief with. So time for our first big ride. Jumped on Jet around 10 am Saturday and hooked up with Vince on his "new" 1980 1000 LTD ("Blue"). We headed down 125 planing to hit the AR border and then head west back to Branson. Got about 80 miles out and were having so much fun we missed a turn and spun off onto east 76 ending up in Ava MO. We hate to double back so after a quick lunch we jumped onto 14 back west. Well it tuns out that Hwy 14 out of Ava was built by mystical motorcycle elves, out of magical velcro asphalt that closely resembles 50 grit sandpaper. That coupled with sweeping nicely banked twisties made for a crazy fast and fun ride. Best wrong turn EVER! Ended up at 130 miles total. A good bit shorter than planned so time for a stop at B&N for coffee and the new Cafe Racer mag. The route: Old Gas station on 14. Wonder if our bikes ever filled up here in there 30 years of life? Video of course ;D

Nice pics and vid as always. It's very cool that you fellas can both get comparable rides so no one's slowing down or riding harder than they want to catch up all the time.

Thanks!
About 3 weeks ago Vince and i did our "Peels Ferry" Hwy 125 run with him riding his Black Jack. I had him by about 10mph on the flats but he killed me in the corners! Ended up with the 650 following the scooter most of the day. LOL

BTW Tim, that is a very nice pair of old Kaws there! You guys should be proud Thanks! They are a little more "cranky" then our modern scoots. But well worth the trouble. We've had more than one kid on a sport bike compliment us on them. I guess we're OG for the "knee draggers"!
