Speedy 1125. That's a possibility, So move the T mark on the fan part of the engine and check that the timing chain sprocket is in tdc? Ill check that before I tear into her. This actually sounds plausible to me, however I would have no idea how that would get thrown off. Chain slippped? Thanks everyone for the support, ill also put in the new cdi even though I seriously doubt that's the problem. I was really thinking the coil was gonna do it. By the end of all this I should have a pretty sweet scoot rollin here.

With my SunL, the T mark on the flywheel aligned with the cam sprocket properly. The problem was that the flywheel didn't actually line up with top dead center. The keyway in the flywheel was machined in the wrong spot on mine, so it would never be right by lining the T mark up. I would imagine they install the flywheel, then install the cam to align accordingly. So if one's off, they're both off. You would need a degree wheel to check this accurately. You could get a rough estimate just by rotating the engine slowly by hand or rocking it back and forth a little by hand around the T mark on the flywheel. If the Piston with travel farther up the bore than where it's at on the T, there's a problem.

Ok guys, so finally I had some time to get the beast in. Overall everything went decently smooth. I broke the intake manifold plastic, and I think I may have a small exhaust leak. I worked on it over the weekend and got about 5 hours in on it on sunday, the only discrepency from the directions was that I wasnt sure about the guide dowells, each level has only 2 dowels. at first I thought I had lost some, I was expecting four on each level. once I figured it out I was all set. Fyi, I checked the valve lash before I removed the old engine and it was set at .006 -.007 . that may have been the problem. I continuted to rip it apart and got it back together. The hardest part was re aligning the engine to the bike frame motor mounts. I think the same mistake every one makes is forgetting to rehook the ground on the valve cover bolt. once I got her in she fired right up, and so im not sure if I have an exhaust leak or its just that much louder, right away I knew I was gonna be ok as I reved it up on the stand it went straight up and started spinning (before I was getting a a high rev, and then a down rpm and then back up . instantly this thing just revved up and kept going. I got home today from work and did some final tweaking, got the seat back on and some other bolts that were still loose tightened. Thet her rip. I was instantly pleased as I actually peeled out in the driveway (loose gravel) and then onto the road where I instantly said hell yea. Top speed was 40 (only because I kept hitting stop signs and speed bumps in my residential area. Needless to say im pretty dam happy, I cant wait to get it finished up so I can ride. I may wake up early and button up all the loose ends enough to get take it to work tomorrow. The one thing that I am ashamed to admit, I changed the oil in it. And I think i managed to put the filter in upside down and.. I didnt know where on the dipstick the oil should have been at, so I ran it a little low on oil, it was in the crossmark hashing area of the dipstick in stead of the dot. Hope that I didnt screw anything up. I will fill it up in the am and hopefully get to take it to work. Heres whats on my list: im gonna drain the oil and put the filter in right and fill it up all the way. fix the cracked intake manifold gasket. ( just pieced it together.) adjust carb check that exhaust ( I tried to check it today and it must not be a bad leak) adjust my idle go thru and check all my make sure they are tight. put all the body parts back on it. Fix a slow leak on the back tire. installe the new rollers.
Thanks for all the help, I will keep everyone posted on the longevity of the kit.

The oil strainer goes in like this: You don't have to remove the oil strainer to change the oil. Just remove the 17mm bolt on the left side of the engine.

Drove the crap out of her today, and it was good. A few times on downslopes I totally buried the needle beyond 45 (spedometer is not accurate). I'll get some gps readings on it tomorrow. Up hills I could feel it dogging down a bit and when it was cold it was acting a bit sluggish. so I need to tweak the carb a bit. I'll wait till after I get the intake manifold biscuit and exhaust fixed up. I spoke with my brother in law this evening and we got set up to install the new rollers some time soon. So now What ive got is a pretty ugly bike with a kikn motor Total into I think was about $400.00. The ebay bbk gets my thumbs up.
