Based in Augusta Georgia.
they have their own factory in china and the metals are imported mainly from Taiwan.
all of their engines are tested before they leave the factory, every scooter goes on a test track.
they use high impact ABS plastic in their molds so their scooters are very rugged.
Castrol oil company helped them design engines that use the correct metals and all of the right tolerences so there are no leaks and they last a lot longer than other mainland chinese brands.
Dave in Georgia is the head of the parts dept and he can get any part you need out to you fast.
i personally tested a new engine design by them that will be going into production once the testing is complete.
i have run it for 50 miles one way at WOT with no problems at all, i take it over unpaved roads and nothing comes loose, the ride is great and you can feel how sturdy it is.
they recommend Castrol synthetic blend 10W40 oil, i recommend Castrol full synthetic 4T oil after 500 mile break in using Castrol conventional 4T oil.
the synthetic blend oil tends to wear quickly being car oil not scooter oil, air cooled scooter engines especially fuel injected engines run very hot and car oil is not good for them.
the test scooter has 2,700 miles on it and no belt wear at all, no tire wear, no missing or broken parts.
as with any chinese scooter always do a good PDI, they all come with loose bolts and screws.
MotoFino uses good rubber so there is no need to change out the vacuum and fuel lines when you get it.
i would change the oil before you start it up for the first time, i don't trust shipping oil.
all MotoFino scooters come fully assembled in all cardboard packing, no metal cage to worry about.
the packing is made to handle damage without hurting the scooter.
mine came from FedEx laying on it's side in a crushed box and only one part is cracked in back.
the box was destroyed and if there had been a metal cage the scooter would have been totaled.
they will send you out a new scooter if yours comes damaged, just refuse the shipment and call Jessica in sales and give her the info and she will take care of it.
