So I spent all morning looking for my dog. I drove to two different animal shelters and all around the neighborhood with no luck. I decided to take the other car to the store at around 12:30 and there she was IN THE CAR! I left her in the back seat lastnight when I went to get some smokes. She musta been in the car for 15-18 hours. I'm an idiot.

Oooppps!!! At least its not real hot out or cold as hell ! What kinda smokes you getting :scared:  We had a period when my dog would jump the fence (a female in heat) and run off for awhile. It was becoming a problem so my wife and i would watch him close or chain him up while he was out. One day my wife thought she had left him outback and forgot about him for a minute while doing chores. She ran to the backdoor and outside to no dog anywhere! She freaked and was all over the neighborhood looking for him....He had already been to doggy jail once and we didnt want that again. After an hour of her looking and in "panic mode" she called me at work and told me what was up. I got home shortly after to find my dog asleep with his head under the bed exactly where my wife hadnt looked yet. he was just a snooozin away  . He was sleeping so good when we woke him all happy to see him home, he just looked at us funny and went back to sleep.

Yeah it was cool but not freezing last night. She's got a layer of fat on her. Amazingly she didn't pooh or pee in the car. I would have. She's a good dog. She likes to ride in the car so much I made her a booster seat so she can see out. She doesn't bull her way out of the car like Pepper. She just sits on her seat waits for you to open the back door and I guess I got sidetracked getting out of the car. It's happened once before but I remembered her after only a few minutes. I feel really bad about it. She must have been pretty stressed out until she fell asleep. L-R Nellie and Pepper

Poor Nellie. ...And poor Pepper. It looks like Nellie's been eating her food too. lol
I like the booster seat, that's cool.
It would be impossible to forget my dog. He's hyper about rides. He jumps in my lap so I can put his leash on when we get home. He's 55-60lbs, so you really can't miss him. lol

Don't feel too bad. I have a pack of dogs. The oldster is a little male black Shi-tzu , Pooky. He,s a very quiet fella, who has 3 modes, quard dog, he sits by your door, or feet facing out so nothing can get you ( he doesn't attack so not sure what the purpose of this is) sleeping at feet, or wandering the yard grumbling and marking anything that pokes out of the ground. Last summer my daughter forgot him outside and he wandered into the median of the expressway in front of my house, there was a tempting tree there. Someone picked him up and took him home. Lucky they did call the pound so we knew where to get him back. He's so quiet I have to constantly check and see if he,s in the house. I have 6 dogs. Well, 2 real dogs, 3 hairless little beasties, and a Pooky. And 2 orange cats.

Pooky was lucky! Glad to hear it. It terrified me when my dog ran out into the road here. I was watching and calling but he ignored me and ran out there. He's not a dumb dog, but he does his own thing at times and completely disregards anything you may say to him. Thankfully, cars stopped.

Pooky was only saved because the traffic was slowed at that spot by a closed lane. My kid felt real bad. My brother was watching the whole thing from his camper, didn,t realize it was a dog. Thought people were chasing a stray cat around. I have fencing, but he was out there long enough to find a spot. He's not a very bright dog, but determined. Anyways, glad it turned out good for you Fox. Bet you'll be doing head counts in future I know I do.

lol TQ looks pretty comfy in that last pic. He is almost 9 now. lol, he is soooo spoiled :spin: . I took him to the store the other day. I take him with me to Rural King, a local everything store. They allow pets and he loves to go. He has gotten to the point that he window shops. Lol, I was just talking to my wife about the last time we went. He was looking at new dog beds. I was "WTH, are you looking at beds Torque?" He looked at me and smiled as he wagged his tail . I was like," geeese the dog is too smart." I could see him sniffing the bones, pigears and dogfood like he usually does, but beds? Now thats new! He loves his bed tho! And it is getting worn out, so i guess he is telling me something  ?
