ok so I just dropped $494.85 on my scooter and still have much more to go. I got the 100CC motor from scrappy as well as a set of break shoes and a spedo gear as mine is burnt out. I still have to get the exhaust and Probibly sliders. It hurts to spend that much in one shot but I feel like it will be worth it. Anyone want to buy a running 50 2T in good condition? lol BTW I just got back from the store and dropped my scooter and bent the mirror :banghead:

If the mirror is the only damage, it could be a lot worse.
Sucks parting with the cash, but the "big" motors are fun.

Yeah I was going to the store tonight and I have been reading some of the posts about the limits of scooters. Mine handles quite well. It takes turns like a sport bike. So 90GTVert Do you think that I actually Need a new pipe or can I use the stock one for now.

I think you'll be OK for now, but I think you'll be very pleased if you ever decide to try out a tuned pip at some point.

Did the engine come with an exhaust? If not i wouldnt want to run a 49cc ex. on it.?. You sure about that Brent? Sounds to restrictive... But come to think of it, they come new like that dont they? Hhhhmmm, maybe in stock trim it will be ok but man a real pipe will bring that 100 to life!

It may depend what pipe your scoot comes with stock. My 49cc and 90cc Tritons both came with the exact same exhausts.

Make no mistake, I don't mean they aren't great. Just saying if you don' have the money right now, you can probably hold off. A tuned pipe can make or break a 2T.

Yeah that is the answer I was looking for Because I really dont have the money right now. As long as it runs and I get some better performance out of it then the 49cc then I am happy. In a few weeks I can get the tuned pipe and have something on my hands.

Well guys I have been out of town for the last few days and have not been on here much. I just got back and was getting rested after a grueling bus ride and there was a knock at the door. Here is what was waiting for me on the front porch. Complete with spark plug, brakes and all. Just insert and ride. I love it.

WOW I am an idiot. So I was looking at the fit of this motor and it looks like everything is going to be butter. It should take less then an hour to put this in and be riding. I think it is easier then anything else I can do to my scooter. Well a part on the carb gotten broken off while in shipping ( something with an electrical connector ) and when I was looking to see if my old carb had one on it to swap over I grabbed the carb and it just spun in my hand. I forgot to tighten the hose clamp on the intake boot. That I am sure is the root of all of my problems while hot. That boot gets hot and pliable and leaks like hell but when cold it doesnt leak as bad and runs like a raped date. Well anyway the part is on the old carb to so i can get up and running until scrappydog sends me a new part to switch out.

They really could pack those better for shipping dont you think? Make sure the ex port is clear and clean before you run it, looks like some packing got in there.
Nice motor, good choice!

That's pretty rough packing. It looks like they broke down the foam from assorted packages, then went into the pile for that. Like 2strokd said, I'de take a vacuum cleaner hose to that.
