hndlebar swap

i have a vento triton r4, i would like to put wider bars on to move the mirrors out and make room for a bar mounted speedo.. i have a steel mountain bicycle bar and stem anyone know if it fits, or can be made to fit? the mtn bke stem is the old style. feasible?

I'm fat so I don't spend much time around mountain bikes. What I can tell you is that aftermarket adapters are pretty cheap and easy to install. I got mine from SIP Scootershop. This is exactly what I have on two Tritons.

here's what the bicycle stem looks like. you can get them for 25.4 & 22.2mm bores. so it depends on the id of the steering stem tube. you can get them in different lengths depending on your arm reach. is there sufficient wire for the controls to install wider bars?

I got a seat of wider and a little taller bars cheap and tried to stick them on T1. I would have needed longer cables. It would be close I'm sure even with just wider.
