I'm just relieved that TaoTao doesn't make planes.

The 4T aircraft are more dependable.

I see those fly over sometimes. They are very loud and have a distinctive sound no other plane has.

Ive never worked on one,but know guys who have.Typical Italian engineering,a rocket, but a bitch to keep up!I heard they are all on a lease arrangement so Piaggio 'owns' them all and can collect them if liability becomes too great..Cool design though,no prop deice boots needed as the exhaust gas runs over the blades and keeps them warm at all times..

They look very similar No I've never seen a Starship. They are Avanti's I have been a plane nut since I was a toddler. I see a lot of Long EZ's which are a Rutan designed single piston engine, pusher propeller with a rear wing and a forward canards. John Denver crashed and died in a Long EZ. It comes in a jet version but I haven't seen one of those.

All but a few Beech Starships were bought back by Beech..Another neat design, but the old standard B200 had it beat in very many ways..Its composite construction did help Beech to design the carbon woven one piece fuselage in the later Beech Premier jets..

We have a Long EZ out at the North Las Vegas airport that I see every once in a while when I go flying in my uncles MSE. I also see a Starship flying around sometimes with it's very distinctive pusher prop sound. It's quite a site

And they are still popular and extremely expensive planes. Some even costing more than jets!

This vid doesn't really do them justice but it gives you an idea of the sound they make. Usually when I see one they are pretty high up like 10,000 ft. and they are still super loud on the ground.
