I would like to upgrade the engine in my son's 2014 Icebear Maddog 50cc scooter. What's the best website to find and order one?

Keep in mind that since he has a 50cc, it's going to take a bit of modding, welding, or in other words.. money to get a 150cc in there such as a bolt on 150cc mount.. I think Monster GY6 makes them but they are somewhere around $300-$500 just for the mount alone not even including the engine and other modding that would have to take place to get the 150cc to work. It's doable, but it's something to think about first. I could also be completely wrong but from what I remember, that was around the price range. There are weld on mounts for around $100..
You may just look into modding the existing 50cc engine with a BBK and cam, upgraded variator and clutch, etc.
I'm in Kentucky and I've done quite a bit of modding to my 50cc and I've had mine up to 52mph straight flat land (which isn't easy to find around here) and easily climbing hills at about 30mph. I'm regularly riding in the 40mph area (roughly around 45mph on the inaccurate speedo)..

Got a place locally selling 150cc ruck clones for 1200 bucks.Probably cheaper to move the 50 and buy a 150.Or as Silar said upgrade the 50 to a hundred with A-9 cam big valve head, carb and cvt tune.

If by chance the out put shaft from your 50 would work this could be a very economical option.except for the shaft kinda plug and play.fox has checked this motor out out and deems it sound that would be good enough for me.

The Maddog has a dual shock setup so I would assume it has a long drive axle with a secodary swinng arm on the right side. I doubt the shafts are interchangeable because the spline count/size differ from 50cc to the 125/150 engines. You could simply go with a single shock setup. I counted 19 splines on a Chinese rear rim and 19 on the Sym engine drive axle so I'm pretty sure all you would need is one of these hub adapters to make a big fatty rim work on a short shaft GY6. www.drowsports.com/atr-gy6-150-universal-hub-rear-drum-brake/ www.steadygarage.com/store/douglas-rear-solid-dish-blank-rimThat hub would allow you to mount any style 4 lug fatty rim on a GY6 125/150cc engine.

From where in from most gy6 engines here have 18 spline axle where do you recon can i get a 19 spline one?
