Anyone else having issues with USPS? I sent a package on the 5th and it was supposed to be delivered by the 12th. It's now the 18th and stuck in Bell Gardens, CA since the 6th. No status change. Grr
Another thing, I'm pretty sure that I didn't get any extra insurance, but does it come with like any insurance? This was a couple free items that I was sending and only got half the shipping money up front. I just want my shipping money back and I'm sure the other party would like his shipping money back as well.

My treatland stuff was shipped by USPS on December 8. Stuff hasn't arrived yet. But i m living at the end of the world and they said that the cheaper shipping might take long(er). Isn't it like this every year around this season? People sending a lot stuff and therefore the postal services are very busy and probably a bit overwhelmed by the amount of packages?

Walk into a post office this time of your and you'll understand I've had packages sit for a week or so and then mysteriously show up. Lately I think they have been doing well with my packages both sent and received.

Ha! I can mail a letter to my next door neighbor and it can take up to 2 weeks before he receives it...yes..2 weeks. That somehow fits into the USPS's "guidelines for performance". I have paid the extra money for "expedited priority shipment" from USPS and, 3 weeks later when it is not here...they tell me...I am out of luck and they have no idea where it is. I ask for my money back and am told...ummm...we don't do that.
Yet another fine example of how the government can not run anything. Oh, and they loose billions of taxpayer dollars/year. UPS or FedX can't get away with that.

Lots of porch thieves out this time of year. I try to use Fed-Ex if possible and I always pay the couple bucks extra for a "signature required" delivery after a couple packages came up missing and I ate the cost. USPS sucks so much ass!

I'm finding, out going packages are not being scaned. Say I drop off Monday and should be delivered Friday or Saturday. What happens is they don't scan or update tracking. In most cases the tracking info updates when it get to the post office that will make the delivery. So if the package gets delivered Friday. The only tracking event will be Friday scaned in at delivery post office. Then out for delivery and delivered.
The hard part is how to explain this to a customer.

I didn't make it to the post office today, but I just checked tracking and it still hasn't been delivered. This is now 7 days after the date it was supposed to be delivered.
I just got a package from Ryan and it only took two days from Pennsylvania.

If you still have your receipt look over it, it should show the shipping price lets say a send a small package by priority mail it should be around $2.40 plus $1.20 for insurance if you see two different prices that add up in the bottom you most likely have insurance, that or it'll say so on it atleast that's how it worked out for me last time. Hope everything works out, and if you already knew about the above info then sorry just trying to look out for a good person like yourself hopefully something I said helps, have a good one mate!

I didn't think there was an 800 number and honestly hadn't looked because I figured that trying to call them is like trying to call DMV. Pointless. I'll try though and see what happens.

I had a package lost in the mail before. I went to the USPS website and sent an email to them. The postmaster personally called me from our local post office and told me that he would look into it himself. He located the package and it arrived in 2 days.

Spaz: It is exactly like dealing with the DMV...only worse! These people care even less than the DMV folks about customer service. (I know, I didn't even think that was possible) Picture the DMV , the IRS and the VA getting together and delivering the mail. This is pretty close. Bill
