Well, I had a $100 gift card that's been burning a hole in my pocket for about a week or so and I've been trying to figure out what to use it on..
I decided to go ahead and order the SJCAM SJ4000 WIFI model and a 32 gig micro sd card. I've been wanting an action camera and accessories for a while now for various reasons and couldn't really justify the cost of getting a GoPro and the accessories I'd want.
I was going to go for a SJ5000+, but since I was limited to the $100 card, the SJ4000 WIFI and 32gb card came right at $97 shipped.
I figured for the occasional action video I'd use it for (scooters, motorcycles, etc), and also looking at getting a a DGI Phantom and Zenmuse gimbal or similar in the future, it would come in handy.
Anyone have one? Just curious what you guys think of it..

No experience with the SJs, but some of the guys here have posted vids that I was impressed with. I didn't expect to see the quality comparable to GoPro out of a cam that much cheaper.
One tip for any action cam owner I'd say is to have some different mounts on hand and buy extra batteries and a charger. I've been impressed with the way the newer cams, at least the Hero4, handle video files so you don't need to change memory cards a few times on 1080P 30-60FPS unless it's a really long ride... but batteries still need to be swapped out every couple of hours. I assume you can get batteries and charges for the SJ cheap like the GoPro. I've used Wasabi for the Hero2 and Smatree for the Hero4 and they're reasonably priced and work at least as well as original batts. Again sorry no experience with your cam, but I have a feeling that stuff will apply to most.

Thanks Brent. I did do a search here and found a few posts from some of the guys that have the SJ4000. I actually ended up buying the camera kit and memory card from B&H photo. Not that the clones are bad. I just wanted to make sure I was getting a real SJCAM and not a clone. I've already ordered separately 2 batteries and charger kit that includes a plug for a cigarette lighter socket. Now I've got another project.. install a cigarette lighter on my scoot!

So, everything came in through UPS today.. YAY! New toy! When I ordered the camera, I hit Amazon and ordered a Baxia accessories kit for it also. It comes with a case and a bagillion accessories including the chest mount and head mount, suction cup mount, selfie stick, floats, etc. So much stuff that there is no way this little case will fit everything so for right now, I've got what I think I'll primarily use in the case, and the rest in a box. I'm gonna have to opt to get a Pelican case or something in the future. It's pretty fun to play with. I can't wait for a decent day to get some scooter vids!
