I only get three gears. I have crazy ideas on variating this thing but its getting reassembled stock. I've decided if I want a fast bike I'm seeking out something late model Piaggio or Minarelli based.

Something is assembled wrong on the drive stack of gears. The kickstarter isn't properly engaging.
I also need to more closely inspect the crank bearings and find some circlips for.the piston.
The engine was slapped together, not officially assembled, a while back.just to.keep from losing parts.

The kickstarter gears seem good, looks like the washers were in the right order. I'm thinking the spring washer that pushes the kickstarter gear up against the drive gears is weak.

Never worked on one of those motors, but it looks challenging.

Never worked on one of those motors, but it looks challenging. Last engine I tore apart was almost twenty years ago. Rebuilt the inline 6 out of my TR6. That was a lot more moving parts. And heavier.

I need either a 90cc jug or a post '66 crank and any piston/jug combination, well, any 90cc or larger. I'm up to grinding out the cases to fit the larger cylinder spigot if it comes to that.
Silly oddball early smallframe with its bits that don't interchange!

Thanks for the link. If my local hunts come up empty I'll give him a call.
That call and we'll set up a time worries me. I have a slightly oddball need and unless his stuff is well sorted itll require someone having the patience to really measure and whatnot to find the right parts. I've already had someone send me wrong stuff because they insisted all smallframes were the same.

Didn't get far enough to try to start it. Clutch and shifter cables were being evil.about getting adjusted properly. Still not getting any clutch right now.

The seats are going to go soon as its running again. I love the leopard print but I'm too tall for the his and hers saddles. I need to swap out for a simple long flat seat.

Got enough tension in the clutch to work, tightened the shfter cables.... Installed the new exhaust, ugh!!! All it wants now are the gas tank put in and fluids!!!!
