I am seriously considering riding Midnight there from N.C. ...need to plan my route wisely.

If you do that, you should get some sort of award for longest distance scooted to the event. I imagine most of the rest are showing up in the backs of trucks. How about a real street class? Gotta scoot 500 miles or more then race. lol

Gotta scoot 500 miles or more then race. lol Suggested routes 1. 10 hours 31 mins I-77 N and I-64 W 659 mi 2. 10 hours 44 mins I-77 N 639 mi 3. 11 hours 0 mins I-77 N and KY-9 N 628 mi I certainly will NOT be doing any of those so its going to be longer for me but i am seriously considering doing this. Call me crazy but I have taken trips like this with my father when i was a kid, camping along the way. |

Dad bought a Yamaha Virago 750 new off the floor in 1982 and he decked it out with bags and racks galore...god the places we went.....
All up and down the NC coast...Blue Ridge Pky...those were the days. During one of those trips ia when i first read the book "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance"
