I was organizing my inventory and I realized that the 250cc crank case I have goes to a CF Moto v5/v3. Its the same vertical 250cc like you see in the helix and reflex clones but its a long case version to accommodate a full size motorcycle wheel. Can you imagine the possibilities here???

Okay really, maybe a vento isn't the safest frame to put that much power in. But any scoot that can carry a top mount motor ie Minarelli or GY6 would be great for such a project.

Would be a cool swap. I think a GY6 150 would be a smarter start. That can be registered as a motorcycle and I don't think you'd get as much grief that way. I just discovered that 400cc swap recently myself. Beefy. My favorite to date is the 600cc Ruck.

I had toyed with the idea of swapping in a Honda Silverwing 600cc engine, but it just seems like I'd be bound to get caught... even if I could afford it. Swapping out the Yamaha Jog engine for a Yamaha R1 engine would be pretty sweet too. I still daydream of a scooter trike powered by a small block Ford (basically just some scooter fairings on a custom chassis). All dreams I could never afford, but they sure do sound fun and scary. ;D
