Ordered a tto cht two weeks ago from Amazon. Received it February 6th 2016. Installed properly ,and Sunday it just quit after a short ride. Got what probably 8 days out of it. Two of them riding and tuning. Cotacted the seller via Amazon and they shot me over to trail tech support saying that trail tech likes to warranty there own products. I was like wow. Threw them under the bus, but I contacted trail tech today and sure enough. All they needed was a copy of a purchase and a pic of the dead gauge. Guy by the name of Brian in tech support said he was gonna get one out to me tomorrow and should be here by Friday. I know a lot of us like trail tech gauges and use a numerous amount of there products.. Anyway I just wanted to give them good review. I don't know how long they warranty there products for, but they took care of me quickly and in a nice manor. Note: there's two numbers on the back of my gauge. I'm hoping the 2nd isn't a expiration date and Amazon sold me a gauge that was about dead anyway.

Did a battery inside it die or something? Are they replaceable?

I thought that was the case. I actually wanted to know the same thing. So I started to take the dead gauge apart. Which after the four screws removed didn't exactly want to open or spread apart easily. I'd say with atleast making some type of scratches or pry marks to the plastic. Anyway I was digging in it with a micro flat head... And must have Jarred a loose connection or something. Because the gauge started working again. So I stopped prying. Must be faulty somewhere inside. I've read on this forum somewhere that the battery is incased some how and not replaceable. But if they built it then there's probably a proper way to take it apart and actually change the battery. Unless it's a specially designed battery made for trail tech products only.

I had a thermocouple as part of a Vapor kit that the wires came out of within the first few rides. Trail Tech replaced it quickly and without a hassle.
