"THERE IS NO NEED TO ADD A 700CC KIT WHICH IS UNRELIABLE AND NEEDS TO BE REBUILT EVERY 1500-2000 MILES"
5,000+ Miles on my 54mm kit so far. Still looks pretty good. So if I listened to a dealer like this guy I would have had 2-3 ne cylinders by now.
"COPPER HEAD GASKET"
So they took his engine apart just to install a new copper head gasket? They really wanted to dish out some labor charges.
It does have upgears, so it probably could do 57MPH with a tailwind on a decline.

I've read a lot of posts and ads on people's Modded Zumas. Even with BB, pipe, carb they do good to do 55. Maybe the copper head gasket was a thinner one to raise the compression ratio a bit. And, BTW, he didn't say he was on level ground or w/o a tailwind when he was police radared. This top speed may be true but I bet acceleration is not that great and hills are killers.

I had a 2004 Zuma last year for awhile. I did a little tuning,(pipe and rollers along with a re-jet). The fastest I could get it was 43 mph. I'm sure that some go faster than that. I've never had a scooter with 10 inch wheels that went over 50mph. I've actually still got a few parts, some brand new if anyone has a Zuma and wants a very good deal on some odds and end parts, let me know.

Maybe the copper head gasket was a thinner one to raise the compression ratio a bit. They better be careful with that, next thing you know you're replaceing your cylinder ever 1500 miles from all that compression.
