Helmet and gloves today off my mate with the dead Peugeot Twat for £15. Perfect fit. One of the guys were I used to work brought a £20 helmet from Lidl. When he went to do his CBT. The instructor asked him where he had got it, as he had never heard of the brand. Lidl, for £20 very happy with his purchase. Until the instructor said, "that's okay if you only have a £20 head!"

Ah nasty horrible 2 stroke. I think you should send them to me pete130 and I shall use them... sorry I mean dispose of them and then get yourself a nice sedated 4 stroke. You know it makes sense saving the planet etc etc blah blah.

Not bought recently but last year and loaned to son and just got back. Weiss onyx blue motorbike jacket. I used it last year and had water pouring out the sleeves when removed gloves. Didn't realise the outer skin is not waterproof. It has a removable waterproof liner next then a thermal liner all both removable and I did stay dry it's just turns into a heavyweight jacket when saturated so this year will wear a waterproof over jacket when using it as saves spending money I ain't got this year for winter rallies. It is nice and warm and doesn't get past the waterproof inner to the thermal liner but who wants a dripping outer in their tent. Not me 😊

Hmmm, the shell needs to be waterproof and windproof with vents that open for cooling if needed. I have a red/black waterproof riding jacket with hard armor inserts that I keep around for windy days. It is very warm on windy days. It was made to be very long with impossibly long sleeves on a robust 5'6" tall Asian person but it got modified for my 6'4" body. It fits me well now but it looks strange, not quite right. My barber used to tell me I looked like a ladybug riding a cockroach. I never did buy any riding pants, didn't seem to be any available. I did have some nice hobnail boots. And a full face black helmet, modified of course. I mess with everything because manufacturers just never make what I want.
