For a old guy I think I am reckless, no helmet, usually wear shorts and T shirt tennis shoes.
My buddy and I ride WOT quite a bit, 50 MPH racing each other. No wrecks yet, knock on wood, but a couple VERY close calls. Not bragging, its just what we do. Hope we dont pay the price for it one day.

I'm not gonna lie. I usually have a beer. All the while thinking about my scooter. By no means drunk or buzzed for that matter. And ride WOT regardless. I'm like Jareebs. Neighbors always complaining about my speed. But I do not condone drinking and driving at all. Nor should you!

Well, so far I've kept my legs and arms covered, but not with any real gear. Just a helmet and long clothes pretty much. As for actual riding I'm usually going WOT all the time, but that's to be expected with a 4 stroke..

Full face helmet all the time.
I like to drive fast but not reckless or stupid. No zig zag passing between cars or stuff like that.
Had a few close calls with cars but 99% because they don't pay attention while driving.
Never fell, never got injured. *knockonwood*
No driving when drinking. Don't do drugs either.
I always say there is a difference between fast driving and stupid driving.

Full face, gloves, riding jacket full time. I don't wear riding pants because I don't own them. Rarely wear the boots I should because I find them to be uncomfortable. Definitely no drugs or alcohol. Last time a cop asked if I had been drinking when he pulled me over, I said "Hell no!" and made him a little mad. Don't do any of that period. I do stupid things like locking up the rear tire or driving over medians or whatever seems like a good idea at the time and isn't likely to get me into serious trouble. ( Example) I spend the majority of my time WOT. I love passing cars just for my own amusement and will go out of my way to do so even though I'm supposed to always be on the right and yield to them by law. I've never seen a scooter going my direction (or sometimes the opposite direction) that I didn't try to race or fly by to display my dominance. All of that said, my fastest scoot just passed 70 and most of the time I'm on something that maxes between 30-60MPH. I'm having a blast doing what are normal speeds for larger vehicles. I've crashed twice on scoots. Once taking a turn way too fast near the beginning of my scooting career and once out of my control when an idiot hit me with a hay bale that he couldn't bother to tie down on a windy day. Sprained foot and road rash in the first. Broken hand and road rash in the second. |

I have a couple helmets, a full face and a gold flaked 70's style with the bubble face shield. I always wear gloves and closed toe shoes. I'm a wheelie, burnout, jump curbs kind of rider. I can't really ride WOT for to long in my town, my scoots to fast  I don't really race other scoots in my town either cause well you know I look forward to racing some cars this year from light to light though. |
