Only wear my helmet when there is no space under the seat to store it. So you should never ride a Ruckus then. Yeah they do those little bag things that go under the seat lol!

No drink or drugs for me. Ride more sensible now I am older. Always have stuck to 30 or 40mph limits on the scooter, other than that flat out! Cant wheelie a scooter for anything, but when I had my GSXR750 used to love a good wheelie

I'm a wanna be wheelie fiend. I wish I could do it better... heh
it's fun going to the front of the traffic on the right side of the road. and you beat them all when the light turns green. heh, it's like drag racing every other light.
p.s.
Oh, and why do cagers get so annoyed when you beat them from the traffic light??? lol
soooo much fun.

I'm nearly 65. This past Tuesday I rode my HD200 100 miles on wet roads and in mist. It was 45F and I was trying out new Moto Centric insulated touring jacket and pants. Mission was to retreve resoled Rocky work boots from Texarkana, TX shoe shop. I was in a hurry. It was getting close to 4:00 PM and I wanted to be back before dark. It had been raining all day but I saw a break in the radar and decided to go. I always wear a helmet when I leave towm. For cool riding I use a modular Gmax 54s. I was going south and the wind (15+ mph) was from the north. I passed many, many cars. Three one time on a double yellow long sweeper.
When the speed limit went to from 45 to 65 past the Domtar paper mill on US 71 I led the pack away from the light and kept it for about three miles. At one time I saw more rpm on the tach than ever before letting the huge F. Fabbri custom windshield pull me along as the 7+% optomistic speedometer needle edged past 80.
There was heavy mist moving back in to Texarkana as I picked up my retreads and I started my damp, return journey. Made a hooch stop at last chance DuJacks pkg. store by the Red river. Barely got boots and 30 pack Bud Ice in top box. The 1.75l Lord Calvert was cosy under the seat. Just kept up with traffic coming back on 71. The side roads were nearly traffic free. While the speedo was around 70 I met a State Tropper but he kept truckin'.
My new riding togs kept me warm and dry although a couple of times I felt a bit of moisture on my right lower leg.
My insulated gloves allowed my hands to get cool. The radiator outlet flow grills on the backside of front fairing make great hand warmers.
I got home about 6:15 PM. I had made a rest stop at Texarkana I forgot to mention. Also , leaving Nashville, I stopped twice (debit card reader whacked at first stop) to fill up.
I like riding scooters. It keeps me sharp.

I do wheelies in traffic and cut between cars but don't ever drive impaired. I make bad enough decisions when I'm sober...

I'll have a beer or two in the course of a long motorcycle ride. I wear a helmet, and gloves when I'm riding more than around the hood. Eye protection is something I haven't heard mentioned. I alway have it on, day or night.

Assuming you guys are American? (Hence no helmets) Im from UK and obviously we were lids as a requirement. Reckless driving I've had my share of crashes on my baby scoot. Touch wood never again. I work nightshifts 12hours a night and i rode back one night fallen asleep whilst at the traffic lights and obviously came off side ways haha funny to me but to others stupid. I now ride with my visor up
