So it's nice and warm in Belize. Bout time i get another trip going and escape the last days of MO winter. I've told you all that my friend Vince taught me how to "ride" in Haiti when i was 14, but i really learned to ride much earlier when i lived in Belize. Lived here till i was 6. I'm back for the first time since then and getting to check out some of the work my dad started back in the 60s. Spent yesterday driving an old school Land Rover out to the "jungle" visiting a school where about a hundred kids get a great education underwritten by lots good hearted folks back home. Today i hope to have lunch with an 80 year old gentleman who worked with my dad and mom. And looking for a scoot to ride of course. ;D

I hear there are some big cats in the jungle there.... well, actually a bunch of dangerous critters as a matter of fact.... snakes and such. Be careful. The guy that lives next door to me is a native of Belize

The story is that this guy had a Jaguar that he had raised from a baby and you could get in the cage and have pictures taken. But that one died and this is one he got older so no cage time.
Of course my 'house cats" kick my but so i'm not getting in a cage with ANY wild one. Besides we all know "cages" are bad. lol

That's a lovely kitty. My daughter worked at a zoo when they brought in a pair of mountain lion cubs. Only the male remembers her though, whistles at her when he see's her, LOL. She knows not to poke her fingers in there though I hope.

Beautiful animal. Pound for pound the baddest cat around. Jaguars have been known to take prey weighing three times their own weight up trees.

More story. These folks knew my parents well. They met me for lunch on friday with lots of stories and pictures. 50+ years ago this lady traveled with my mom and helped her when she picked up my adopted sister from the orphanage. Then out to the country again for the weekend. Met up with a "Circuit Riding Teacher" who wanted me to check out his new Chinese bike. Had to give it a ride of course! Less than 400 miles on it and typical Chinese quality so the guy i'm working with and i drove to a town near by and bought him the best oil they had. I talked him through some of the PDI things and he's gonna get the Chinese oil out today. He'll have enough good oil to get him through the first couple thousand miles. I'll send back, saddle bags and a good helmet when i get home.

Now you're gonna need to start a tally of how many countries you have fixed up Chinese two wheelers in too. lol
