That's quite an accomplishment making your own rifle. You did a damn fine job of it and it really shows! I'm lovin it

go look at the Tanfoglio Witness (in 3.6" barrel) before you decide on the CZ. It uses the same system as the CZ... It's poly, pretty compact, and cheap

most of the guns shown here are way overkill; for what the squash says he wants to do, but lv seeing em. , i an a veit nam vet, caryed a 45, and will say its to big, have shot on a few pistol teams and the High Standard,22 semi auto is one of the most actuate you can get,, not trying to brag, but i used to be able to put 6 rounds in a spot the size of a dime at 50ft. got a few trophies. anyway,, don't think the little 22 wont protect you, with a match Remington long rifle round it will, and you will be able to hit what you are aiming at, say you are camping and want squirl, or rabbit for supper, try to hit one with a big pistol, the high standard comes in 2 lengths,, 4 and 6 inch barrel, the 4 would be perfect, for what you want, if its for total ackrecesy go with the 6inch,,,,, look online for pics, now if push comes to shuv, then i reach for the shot gun;;;;;;;;;;; steve

Find a local range that rents handguns and try some different ones out. this way you can see what feels right to you and wife ( most likely will have different opinions). It will be money well spent. Figure what ones you like and check out the reports from there. bye the way it becomes just as addicting as scooters.

Looks like whoever designed the Kel-Tec PMR-30 was obsessed with hand grenades. That's ugly as sin imo.

Agreed. Do some range time if you're able.
only issue is that unless you go to a big retail store, you're not gonna get too many selections... and definitely won't find smaller company models. And I wouldn't necessarily believe anything the store guys tell you. somewhat more biased depending what they want to move /sell...
or, OR, just go oot and buy the Glock 19!

I have a .22 mag bolt acton. I was wanting to go semi auto for the pistol. Are there .22 mag semi auto out there? Maybe I'll just get a .22 mag snub nose, if all other options are depleted. .22 mag amount is getting tough to find though
