I think the road racing conversion is cool. Nice collection. I'm sure people think a lot of things we do are pointless or silly too. If he likes it, that's what really matters... just the same as you probably don't care if anyone else thinks your scoot is great as long as you like it and it does what you need.

I was just curious as to why convert an off road vehicle in to a sport track vehicle? I would think the geometry of a dirt bike VS. A Grand Prix Super Sport would make it awkward cornering? Heck for all I know they've added 200' black top doubles in MotoGP and the suspension of a short bike wont take a 160mph tag. Idk I was just curious to the reason behind it?

I was curious as well and long story short is that it's not uncommon and many guys have done it because the dirt bike is lighter than the road bikes in its class. Also, the the frame was put in a laser guided machine that bends the headtube to change its geometry..
I'll get video of the bike in action next weekend so you'll understand why he chose that bike. He doesn't just win, he smashes everyone.

Cool collection. There are a lot of kits out to convert dirt bikes to track bikes. Over here they use them as a feeder class to the bigger super sport bikes. I think they came about because you cant get the old two stroke 250's that people used to start with. Over here it is more normally the 450's they use.

Went to the races this weekend and got quite a bit of video with my little camera, but I'm not too impressed with it. I'll edit it down in the next couple of days, or so and then post it. Anyway, My buddy Jack came in first in the three races he rode this weekend. His race today included a two higher class 600's and he got them on the last the last lap of a 6 lap race. It was pretty cool. We also had a good friend John there today. He rode the Isle of Man in the late 60's. Another Isle of Man guy, Yuri was with us as well. He is the first guy to qualify a supermoto there. And my good friend Scott was with us for the weekend as well. All in all was a blast listening to those screaming bikes for the weekend and of course meeting a lot of interesting people with a lot of incredible stories. www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=485125Sorry, no pictures of me this weekend

I used to love going round the pits at race meetings. You see some cool bikes and meet some characters
