It seems sort of ridiculous but perhaps interesting. I'm too lazy to care about paint. I had a few cars with fading paint and never really cared. Some neighborhoods get really conscientious about the way cars look though, so I ditched one of my 'faded cars' for something with payments one time and a shiny perfect clear coat and it seemed to work better. Thinking about it dipping probably could've saved the faded car mentioned (a B13 sentra).. I haven't seen one yet but I have seen those cars with the chameleon paint jobs. Actually I ran a temp formation drive for a mile or two with some inner city 49cc scooter with a pretty good reflective green paint. Yeah I guess they have this dipping for rims too: youtu.be/7J6rRj98A5s

Buy some latex paint and roll it on.

a bit off topic, but kinda not A buddy of mine has an 80's model Jeep Grand Cherokee that he uses on the farm and for a little off roading. He got tired of scratching it, so he painted the entire thing with that roll on bed liner. It looks pretty good too.
