Being in New England, very few "wave" especially harley peeps. Its sorta funny when they are out cruising and you roll up behind them and you can keep up the pace. Then you pull up along side them at a light and they give ya a disgusting look.(like wtf are you doing here) Then we give-em a few brapp brapps at the light and they take of like you are drag racing. The majority of the street/sport bike people are cool and will wave. Then like other mention the scoots folks just beep beep the horn.
As for riding, speed limits here are 25-40 on side roads. The main drag is 50. So back roads we usually good with going with the flow and not many passing. We do come across a few clowns that insist on being first and ride your tail. Then once they past they slow down to flex there cage-ness.
Plus living along the shore line is nice just to cruse the beaches and check out the scenery.

Something I would like to point out.
Scooters are allowed to be on the road legally. In MI. we have the right to the road. If we're going too slow, then pass, but pass safely.
Scooters in MI. are registered and have a license tag giving us the right to drive on any road except a freeway (50cc scooters are too small and can't go fast enough to maintain the minimum speed on a freeway, 55mph).
I wish cagers would get this through their (obviously small) brains.

Bicycles do less than 25mph most of the time, (some are faster then scooters). Be curtious, but exercise YOUR right to the road. We all must share.

There isn't a left lever. Just a right lever for the front brake and a foot pedal for the rear brake..and what is a food brake lol

People in cars don't seem to recognize scooters that much (think we are driving bicycles). Because cars drove on my lane, I've crashed and driven to ditch. Seriously thinking heavy LED lighting to be seen. Noway I'm giving extra space to cars under 40mph area.
