I stumbled across this picture of a quick and easy alternative way I used to block off that P.A.I.R. port when I didn't have any steel plate to make a proper one. Cut the metal tube leaving an inch and a half or so, a rubber tube with a bolt stuffed in one end of it and a clamp. It's made from the existing tube runs from the port to the reed valve on the valve cover. You can make two of them using both ends of the tube but the reed valve side has to have the bolt holes modified for it to work on the port.

The head of a 10mm bolt and some jb weld works well too.

So today I devised yet another variation of the cheap block-off. Hacksaw the tube at about a 1/2 inch and install a short 8mm bolt. Total time spent: 2-3 minutes.
