Hybrid chinese honda scoot

The front looks a bit odd because of it's shape at the bottom and lack of fender, plus sitting so high with the forks bare. Maybe a fender would help?

What's the huge plate in the rear for? I'm kinda lost on it's purpose. Mudguard? What is that, ~1/2" aluminum?

Yes it is 1/2 inch aluminum! Got it at scrap yard. Thought maybe a good license plate holder? The front does look weird! I'm going to take a old pair of front shocks and shorten them. Fender on it also and see what happens.
