Still a mystery. I've been looking through google images and see nothing like it. Not a very pretty thing is it. It does have a speedometer like my retros, but that's used on Hondas, Yamahas, and the Chinese clones from what I've seen.

Looks like a Taiwanese copy of an ugly Chinese Knock-off.

The front looks like a generic vino, from the floorboard back it looks a lot like a Yamaha Razz

Poor lil' bastard. No body loves or wants you or even knows your name. I hope someday you grow a big bore and a long fat pipe so people will respect you. :thumb:

Ide turn it into a fast drag scoot if i had it lol! That get it the respect it deserves!
BTW, i road a Zip like yours Dave. My friend owns it and it needed some work. Man, those light lil suckers do pretty good in stock trim huh? I was impressed with it. Zipping around the turns with those little narrow wheels and shortframe shortcase combo. Good lil Scoots for sure!!! Im keeping my eyes peeled.

Yeah, Zip is an appropriate name for it. It'll keep up with the flow of traffic. I get passed and I pass others. L.A. is a rat race. You don't keep up they'll steam roll right over you. I love my scoot. It's 8 years old and only has 1400 chinometers now. Runs perfect. I started using synthetic 2T oil in it so it runs cleaner and has a better smell. It has the original spark plug still. OH and you're right about the turns. It's really responsive and nimble. I'll never mod it, I want to sell it. I think it's worth close to a grand. It's only got a few little tiny scratches.

I just called the guy and he said it was a Sunduro with a Honda clone vertical engine..I might not have the name spelled correctly but i have heard that name before somewere. Anyway, it came outta the crate just like we see it and he sold it for 500 with only 1,100 miles on it. If parts are out there and im sure they are if it is a Dio or Elite clone, i think it would be a pretty good deal for something different. I told him beat up rashed out scoots go for 500 around here.

Well, by gosh, that's a pretty straightforward approach to solving a mystery.... just go right to the horse's (or seller's) mouth. Congratulations, Robert. Did you know that Sundiros used to be built in Arkansas? Russellville is on the Arkansas River between Ft. Smith and Little Rock and right across the river from the small community of Dardanelle which is the home town of John Daly and site of Arkansas' two nuclear power plants. articles.latimes.com/1999/oct/17/business/fi-23204With that mystery solved, we'll have to find another Mystery Scooter.

That was interesting. I tought it was odd that they had any thoughts about flying that Chinese flag though. We have 2 local paper companies, once local owned, one French owned, one Canadian. Never have I seen a Canadian nor French flag flying out there.
