With a 72cc kit, what weights is better to have a good acceleration and top speed? I have a Kymco People 50S with 16" wheels and my weight is 200 lbs and original exhaust and air box . For now i have 6.0g rollers in my Naraku variator.
Normally, what size of main jet you install with a 72cc kit ? (I keep original exhaust and air box)
Thank's! :thumb:

I would go with a 85 main jet and 7.5g rollers.

I would go with a 85 main jet. It's not to small for a 72cc kit? For now, i install a #90 but the gas cut in acceleration. I also have # 85, 90, 95, 100, 110 and 88 i think, nothig wrote on it!?

In order to get the best acceleration you need the engine to accelerate through the gear range at the maximum peak torque. On a stock 50 I think it's approximately 6500 rpm. Does that sound right Jeremy? On a 72 it would be a little lower. In order to be able to do that, your going to need an accurate tach. Stock ones usually aren't. The tiny tach seems to work well and it's inexpensive.
So, you hop on the ole scoot and take off down the road with the throttle pinned to the stop to see what your rpm is before you reach top gear. Of course as you do, reach top gear, the rpm will climb higher. So if your running a steady 7500 through the range, raise the weights a gram and see what you get.
If what you want is the best possible gas mileage, you should go with a bit less rpm. This system has worked for me.

Today i install pilot jet #35 and main jet #85. It's better, i adjust the valve at (.002 intake) (.003 exhaust). The acceleration look stronger and i didn't feel the lack in acceleration.

I order a jet #88 today. With the #85, the ceramic of the spark plug is white! :banghead: But the bike run #1, good acceleration, good top speed (40~42 mph) facing wind and no miss in acceleration!

Vermi, how are you going about checking the plug read? Are you doing wide open throttle chops or are you riding it around normally with some wide open blasts down the road? It may not be the main affecting your plug read. If it's running well with the 85 main, but the plug is looking a little lean, try a few other adjustments first. The pilot screw and the needle position. Are there any symptoms to this lean condition?

The problem i have, my scooter it's a KYMCO PEOPLE and to check the spark plug and adjust the Pilot screw i need to remove all the seat! I didn't have any acces under the scooter to the motor. I remember my other bike it was easy to adjust the carb and remove the plug under the bike!

I see Vermi. If that's the case I would suspect either the pilot screw or the slide needle height. Try adjusting the pilot screw out a 1/4 turn at a time. If the rpm picks up, try another 1/4. If you start to go over more than 3 turns out, then a larger pilot jet might be in order.
But before you go with a bigger pilot. How's the mid range acceleration? Does it feel a bit flat when you go from 1/2 to wide open throttle? You might try lowering the E clip a notch in order to raise the needle. That is, if your needle has an E clip.
I would try both of those before I just slapped another main in there.

I'm realy tired to plays with the carburetor. I waith for the jet #88, but today with jet #85 i put needle clip of at -2 to see with more gas if it help.
When i hit the 70 km\h(42mph) the motor cut same feeling if it miss gas or to much air!?
Or if i make a stop and i accelerate to fast, the motor have a miss of ½second! :banghead:
When i receive the jet #88 and it didn't help, i put back the 49cc motor on it! :crash:
