I used to listen to hair metal too. It's hard to believe anyone ever thought that teased up hairstyle (not to mention the clothing) looked cool... but what can I say, I had a mullet in 7th grade. lol I was a big fan of Motley Crue and Slaughter when I was a kid.

Cool! I remember going to see them in 1983 and standing in the front row. All those guys did was pose for the bitches and flirt. My girlfriend would have been right backstage afterwards if I'd have let her. It was Def Leppard, Ratt, & Winger! You can't get much more "hair metal" than that.

I didn't say it was Grammy material! There's just something about old Ratt I like. They were different. They had their own sound. You knew a Ratt song in the first couple notes... Say what you will but they had talent. Millions of records sold doesn't lie. ;D I'm a drummer and Bobby Blotzer is one of my heroes. OH! And I'll admit I have had La Vida Loca stuck in my head for a while before DAMMIT!@

A good friend of mine is staying with me for a few until he gets back on his feet. He loves Ratt and most all the other old "hair bands" too (he is a lil older than me). We were just jamming to a bunch yesterday lol.

Since this thread has come to life again, seems like it's time for some Christmas music to me. This isn't quite Ratt old... but it's a few years old. I have to listen to it every year now.
Explicit lyrics, as all good holiday music should have.

If you really like it, search for Psychostick - The Flesh Eating Rollerskate Holiday Joyride. It's a whole album of theirs with stuff like that.

This is my favorite RATT vid. They did a great job on this one. I like the way chicks looked back in the 80's. They had big hair and they didn't pluck out all their eye brows. Full screen it for the full effect!

Im more of a punk rock fan, not a big metal guy, but Ratt is at the top of the metal food chain. Metal, to me, was the last genre that had great accessible guitar playing. The average metal guy can shred ! You dont get that in the mainstream anymore. I like Britny Fox, Cinderella, Oral, LA Guns, old G&R and stuff like that too. A "Best of Ratt" cassette stayed permanently attached to the tape player in my 82 Subaru in 1992
