Hello, thxcuz. I think I know you from another forum, don't I? I don't have anything to offer concerning your question. But one day I might. I've been thinking about making my own body panels (rear sides and splash guards) in order to give my Kymco more of a Vespa look. And if I do it at all, I'll get the project started before summer gets very old. If so, I'll come looking for this thread. Maybe you could do something like this Do you know me from the scooter doc forum? or rartodbikes? or maybe motorized bikes?

i have a possible solution...a guy on CL has a non running schwinn scoot cheap (and if I play my cards right, even cheaper) I'm guessing it's a 139qmb and I can just drop my engine rear wheel et al into that frame. it's still Chinese but at least it doesn't look so chineesey. while I have you here....I have a 47mm kit on this bike, what else can I do to give it a little more umph.

A cam and a big valve head are probably the biggest power gains left, but sometimes you drop compression with those mods and get less than you should out of them... especially the big valve head. It would be best to spend some time with it and check compression and fiddle with things to get it right, rather than just bolt on. If you just want to slap something in there, stick with the cam. You may also get more out of it from CVT tuning and a good variator.

Slap a 100cc 2 stroke under their and let er rip!!! A 2 stroke on a Tao Tao is almost blasphemy or possibly a hate crime(to the 2 stroke engine)

I saw an add on Craigslist for a non working 49cc chineese scoot. Can I just remove my engine (and wheel and everything else attached) and drop it in there? I have no clue if it's a short case or long case or if it has 2 shocks but my guess being a taotao as well most stuff would fit. The guy hasn't gotten back to me and he's an hour away but it would be worth it if the plastic is in ok shape. It doesn't look like a bug, so it would be totally worth it to me

It should bolt in as long as both scooters use the 139QMB. Short and long cases will bolt up to the same mounts. Could look stubby if it was originally a long case and you put a short case in there. The rear shock may sit at a different angle and change ride height.
