I just got a peace model 805 50cc 4 stroke and after a hundred or so miles i installed a 72cc big bore kit on it. It worked fine for 30 or so miles and then died on me everytime i tried to start it. it wont start (it makes the normal starting sound) and when i checked the cylander and spark plug its bone dry so no gas is getting through? I thought it might be the carb so i put on a new #85 jet and it still wont work! I dont know what else i can do to get my baby running agian. HELP!!!

When you insalled the new jet was there gas in the float bowl? You can remove the fuel line from the carb and crank the eng. over and it should pump a little out. Check the vavle clearance. What jet size jet did you run when running the 30 miles?

Yes gas is getting to the carb, And yes its a vac. fuel pump. it seems to be something more with the throtle it will start a little, run just fine, and then die. Yes there was gas in the float bowl. Thanks Ill try those sugestions. i already checked my valves im good there. and it was a #75 when i went those 30 miles, but i felt a little slughish when i was. OH i almost forgot aboout this little peach. the kit was a general gy6 kit and there was an extra hole leading directly to the cylander its about 1/2 in diameter. that is not filled and i have nothing to plug it with. Could that be it?

frag1304 with the 75 jet its to lean. The 1/2 " hole was it the EGR with 2 small bolt holes on each side of it? You may of ran it lean.

your right about the egr i figured it out after a little research. i put in a new #85 jet and am getting a irridium spark plug to try to compensate. i dont think having the open egr will be too much of an issue. it lasted just fine when i was running it on the 30 miles. Thanks so much for the help dude and speedy

30 miles with a #75 jet on a 72cc may have already overheated and scored your piston. Hope for the best and while you are at it remove and blow out your idle jet because they have a nasty habit of plugging.
