If you like this kinda stuff, you should check out an old movie from the 70s called "Cycles South". 3 guys travel to Panama on and off road. They aren't on scoots, but they do use 175cc bikes. Sometimes they stay in hotels or villages sometimes they camp.

I'd never pay that much for a tent, but I must admit it's pretty cool.

Back in the 70's I used to go motorcycle camping...find a girl interested in drinking beer and riding who wasn't concerned about frills and sleep under a plastic tarp in sleeping bags. Those were the days...

It has an alternate title called "3 wild riders" according to IMDb.com I did find Top Gear Vietnam trip, Awesome! Its season 12 episode 8 if anyone is interested in seeing it. No camping but the guys ride from south to north on a honda cub, some russian bike and a vespa! And yeah thats one sweet tent!

If you have Netflix, Cycles South is on there. I signed up for the 1 month trial just last month and watched half the documentaries available on demand. lol I know, I'm boring. If you have that or sign up for the free trial (remember to cancel within the month or they'll start billing you) there are a few cool motorsports things. I was quite disappointed in how much car/bike stuff is available though. It's very scarce. If they'd put more car stuff on there, I'd continue the membership long enough to watch it all at least. lol

My god. If you have to haul a trailer your taking too much crap. I have a youth tent that I can barely fit in diagonally. I don't cook other than having provisions for hot tea or instant coffee. Dried fruit and jerky don't weigh much or take up a lot of space. I need to find a place to camp near a wet county.... taking enough cold beer is my problem. :riding:

When I used to camp via truck/cager I'd take 3 or 4 ice chests, a couple of grills and stove, frying pans, steaks, bacon and eggs, stuff for hamburgers, hot dogs, fruit, cookies, chips etc.,etc. I finally realized I was spending half my time preparing meals and cleaning and straightening up afterwards and not enjoying the natural setting and wildlife. So now I go light and simple. Sometimes I even fast.
