First time here . ZX pipe part SGI 288/4491 . Adapted a factory zuma flange on front pipe to make it work . Even on stand , Never worked right until 35 to 50 . Replaced old stock pipe (honeycomb removed only ) for test . Good from idle to 45 . I had thought it was the same pipe as my previous zuma . This Scooter has 70kit , stock Leader carb , 35 plt , 95 main , Needle 2ND groove up . Blue rollers in stock Variator . Is there any way to get this pipe better by adding back pressure .

If you only swapped the flange it shouldn't matter (assuming the header diameter of the flange was not smaller than the pipe. If you had to add any length to the header along with the flange, that will change the way the pipe performs and make it take longer to hit.
Any idea what weight those blue rollers are? The expansion chamber pipe is bound to make you lose low end power compared to a stock pipe. You need to compensate with lighter rollers and stiffer clutch springs.

if they are the same ones that came with the zx and it was for a zuma the rollers should be 4.3 grams
for the zumas the rollers are actualy a bit on the light side and the guys normaly go with about 5.0 to 6.0 depning upon what they want exactly
but 4491 doesnt ring a bell as the right pn for horizontal it sould be 4077 for vertical 4579
what clutch springs are you useing you gota get the revs up or she will be a dog till you get the revs high enough to get on the pipe

I just had to cut through there welds and turn , cut , and align up and weld . The after I cut the pipe in almost al the way through , bent it to 90 degrees to inspect if there was a restictor . This pipe is not like the zuma one . Would like to show some pics . Tried last night to upload pics with initial post . Didn't work and lost the first post . I was late so I put this post for a test . I have alot of trial and error info on this scoot that I would like to share with you guys . Thanks for the replys .

ok just found pn 4491 it is the euro spec mulgati pipe so there should have been a cone in the down pipe from the malaguti pipes i have ordered they tend to come without clutch springs so do you have at least a med if not a stiff clutch spring set installed
as for the weight of the rollers you will need to put them on scale and see i dont know the weight of those

I understand the heavy clutch springs and roller weights make the difference . Did that with my zuma . When it had the stock variator I mixed 3 blue , 3 OEM rollers (black) , white Contra spring , and yellow Clutch springs , 70 kit , Arreche 19mm ,Worked the best . Then upgraded with Athena Variator . Ran 51 flat with 230 lbs at the time . With this scoot running on the stand I would think it would not make much difference . With this zx it has a bigger head pipe , and I believe a bigger output pipe (19mm OD) . Zuma had washer restictor at flange before silencer (none on this) . As well as the silencer tail pipe is (22mm OD) compaired to a 4077 zx if I'm correct . Dont have one to reference it . Maybe I'm mistaken . This m50 has the china Minerelli copy . Upgrades are 70 Mod Cyc cast iron , Arreche 19mm which will go back on , stock vented air box , yellow mallossi Contra spring , with stock muffler w/ restictor removed . What is the best pipe to use for this app ? What clutch springs ? Carb has currently a 20 plt , 95 main , 3 pos needle set in middle . Could' nt get it right with the pipe . Broke the darn atomiser changing jets so many times (kept coming out w/main jet . over tightened ) . Couldn't try it with the stock moded pipe unfortunately . Need to get the right parts and advice to get back ridding !!! I wanted a big wheel scooter . Got this one Zuma was better than this one so far . thanks for the anticipated help and info . underdog

When I look that exhaust up, it comes up for a Malaguti Crosser CR1 50cc, which comes up as a Morini engine. Can't find what roller weights the kit comes with, but they should be 16x13, no idea on weight. It would be worth investigating weight, and checking again if they fit right. A minarelli clone should use 15x12 rollers. If you are having trouble attaching images, try photobucket. That's what I use. It's easy and you can post as many pics as you'd like at once. Auto resize on upload if you wish. Info here... 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=643
