:scoot: I just got my 50mm bbk put in. All I can say is WOW!! What a difference, this thing flys. It is so quick. I got it up to 48 mph and I am 200 lbs. What inpresses me is how quick it got to 48. Once its broke in I will give it all its got. I am hoping for 55. I put a 88 jet and a better air intake. I didnt do any thing to the exhaust yet. I dont know if I need to. Alot of people dont use the oil pump that comes with the kit but I found out it is a higher volume pump so I put it in. It wasnt to hard I just had a small problem getting the mag off. This might be why some are having problems with the rod bearings. Time will tell. All in all $65 on ebay is a great deal. I could not be happer with it.

Congrats on a successful install. Good to hear you are pleased. Just curious, what are you using for a speedometer?

Stock what came on the scooter. I think it pretty accurate. My wifes speedo is teh same as mine. I should check it with the gps.

I hope you really are doing that speed. I just wonder cause I struggled to make a legit 50MPH on my build with multiple ported and big valve heads and custom trans mods different carbs etc... Of course it didn't help that I was 300lbs when I finally made it to 50. lol

I checked my plug it looked a little lean so I put in a 95 main jet. I still pulls hard off the line , but i think I lost some top end. It is hard to tell becouse the wind is is blowing 30 to 40 mph. Going into the wind I still hit 32 (gps) with the wind half throtle i hit 40. It is still being broke in so I didnt push it. I also gave it an oil change and seen some metal shavings in the bottom of the oil plug. Not alot, but it is worring me alittle. I thank it runs to good for something to be wrong, but still metal in oil (no matter how little) is not a good thing. I think I will run 10 miles and change the oil again.

Good call on the extra oil change. It's probably fine, but safety first.
If it's doing 32MPH against that kind of wind, you have the power you just need the CVT and gearing to back it up or it's rev limited or something else is up.

That sucks. Sand, corners, and 2 wheelers don't mix that well. Glad you're just scratched up though.

I got 300 miles on it. Its running great. Still pulls hard all the way up to 40. Top speed 46 by the gps. It took a long way to get 46 mph. got to 44 pertty quick. I ordered some 18/50 final drive gears. I hope to gain 10%. I dont know what it will do to the torque. but worst case I swap it back to orginal.

welll i got the final drive gears in and it made know difference. whats up with that. I bought this new. I have to count the teeth on ;the gears, the only thing that makes any sence is it has allready had this upgrade. I cant believe the dealer would do this. the 18/50 Is this the # of teeth on the gears?

Yeah that should be the number of teeth. No difference on gain or loss of acceleration or anything? Top speed doesn't necessarily surprise me, because sometimes the scooter just doesn't have power to pull more gear, but you should still see some difference.

I'm thinking maybe the jump from 88 to 95 was too much. If there is incomplete combustion because there's too much gas in there then it can slow you down. Try running with no filter and see if it improves. If it does then maybe a 90 or a 92 jet might split the difference so you get a leaner burn but not too hot. It's all about the plug color. I assume you've tried moving the the needle clip up and down.
What's the plug look like with the 95?
