so a customer brought me a yamaha ttr-90 and said it was running fine and then it wouldnt start or go... i checked compression and it is at 15... not good at all... anyone have any experience on this?

If there is no compression its most likely rings. Could be timing chain that messed up valve timing may have hole in piston. I would start by removing the head since you have already done a compression test. Is there oil in it??

yes there is oil in it. they said they changed the oil then it started smoking real bad and now it wont start..the engine just turns and turns.... i quoted him 250 parts and labor for a whole top end rebuild but he said he was just gonna take it back to yamaha and trade it in for a 125
