Hey everyone, The bike is a 2012 Taoatao 50 I got from a friend for free. Wasn't running when I picked it up and is missing the title. Got it running but ended up not wanting to deal with the headache of getting a title for it, probably more trouble than it's worth. Gave it to my coworker/boss and this is what he made out of it. Enjoy. When I picked it up. Stripping it down. Grinded off excess post. Completely apart, getting ready to extend the rear. Tank he used. Off some old random moped his friend had lying around. Seat mock up. This seat is actually going on my Peugoet 103, but very similar to the one he is going to end up using. That's it for now. He is using an old wooden box to house the battery, ignition, coil, and all the wiring. The plan is to weld on some foot pegs, round headlight, and lower bobber style handle bar.

Thing is running now. Everything electronic was stored in the wooden box. Push start and turn key on the box as well as new foot pegs.

Neat project. Is it gonna be ridden anywhere, or just did it to do it? Should turn a lot of heads on the street.

Foot pegs are on, just don't have a photo of them.
I think he said he has only spent around $40 on the whole project
He lives pretty close to the shop, he might commute with it sometime.

Here is a photo of the foot pegs. Also forget we had to relocate the kickstand because it would have scraped.

That is really cool looking! Can you guys imagine working on that thing? Need to set the valves...oh, they are right there. Time for a new plug? 2 minutes. BBK install? No problem. That is one of the best features to me.

So a 150cc scooter pretty much presented itself to us. So naturally a 150cc swap had to happen. The two back ends compared. The whole extension he made that worked for the bottom mount 50cc had to be cut off due to the top mount being on the 150cc. Mounted up with the carb flipped to accommodate the new top mount. Also ended up swapping out the rear suspension for a bar off an older motorcycle because the motor would swing down and hit the ground with a rider. Turns on and starts, however it's not accelerating properly. Seems to bogg down once given any throttle. Updated to come.
