I painted the headlight on accident Looks like you painted a lot of things by accident, like the side of the building, table top, the scooters tires & rims, brake rotors, brake calipers, front forks. I was expecting something more like this when you said you were painting it gold.

2 things you are doing wrong. 1 you are painting with the body panels attached to the scooter, and 2, you are painting it inside your house or in the free air?
If you don't have any choice but to paint it in your house, Buy a long roll of plastic and make a tarp so that you keep out the dust and keep in the mist from the can and don't spray other shit. As for clearing up that headlight, that is very tricky. NORMALLY I would tell someone to use acetone. But what you have is a clear plastic light. You can TRY rubbing alcohol but only try it in a small section to see if it's working. If you don't feel like taking off the body panels, and least buy some blue painters tape and use it with some of the plastic out of the roll to mask off what you don't want to get painted. Spray can paint is not something I'd want to paint with if your looking to control over-spray. But if that's what your budget limits you to, then at least protect everything that is NOT being painted.

Also, was just looking at the images... You painted the floor mat?? Sorry, but that is not going to work. That is not how paint, especially spray paint, works.

It looks good but, I am afraid that the first time he puts his foot on it the paint will come off, especially if it was not degreased completely before painting. Bill

Iv seen rubbing alcohol attack some plastics. I'd suggest rubbing compound to remove the paint while it's still fresh.

I have an ammonia window cleaner that foams up I use for prep and clean up. It will remove overspray. See if you can find something similar. It's by sosmetal called glass clear.
