THis guy? proly not. I dont knw specifics on the expansion chamber. Its a race pipe made by polini. It ran great for about 2 days... I drove it around for about 20 miles. Then it slowly started giving problems starting up and then it started dying while I was riding it and finally it wouldnt start.

So I was workin on the scoot again today and I noticed when I put my hand over the intake of the carb I wasnt feeling any gas..so then I pulled out the gas line and no fuel was flowing. Does this mean the choke isnt working?

It's probably a vacuum petcock so fuel will only flow when the engine is making vacuum by cranking over or running. Leave the line off and crank the engine over. If it still doesn't flow any fuel a vacuum line is not connected or cracked, something is clogged, or your petcock in no longer working.

put the end of the fuel line in a catch can before you spin the engine..once you spin the engine fuel should flow out the line. if no gas flows, either your vacuum line from the carb is bad or the vacuum actuated petcock is bad.

Thanks, you were right on. The vacuum line was cracked at the end...so I cut the end part off and fuel started flowing again. I cranked a few times and to my suprise she started right up. I took it for a test ride and it gets up to 30, but it bogs down a lot...but atleast its running its a start. I think its the new carb. I had tried to put an 80 jet from my mikuni on the $20 carb I picked up from ebay ( cgi.ebay.com/Carburetor-ETON-50-5....=item3cb6b76810) but it wouldnt run with it. I need to get my mikuni back in running condition. I had taken it apart and put it in boiling water for about 2 hours then I sprayed it with carb fluid and let it sit in carb fluid for a night, but there must still be some debri in the tiny vents!

Ah, im starting to think I will never get this scooter back on the road. I attempted to start it today with the new carb and the airbox on....and nothing. I would hit the starter for a full min and every 10 seconds it would sound like it was about to start, but no go. I had it start up 1 or 2 times and I rev'd it all the way, but then it would jus die after about 10 seconds. I even went out and threw a new NGK plug in there. Its getting spark and it has compression and the spark plug was wet when I took it out...so IDK

wow...so I took it back to the mechanic and it turns out the problem the whole time was the coil. It was getting spark, but apprently not that well. It runs now and starts right up so I guess I cant complain too much.

It's been a long road, but hopefully you can start enjoying riding instead of worrying about fixing.

Are you sure it's not your crank seals?
