I got the rear brake working. I thought about what I did to clean the rear master cylinder and decided I could have done a better job. I drained it down again and removed it. Took it apart and sprayed it with Brake cleaner, ran some brushes through it, washed it with soap and water, blew it out and pu it back together. This time I used a vacuum bleeder that I've had, it came with a container that you fill and put in the cylinder then you suck the fluid through. No air just brake fluid. Cleaned it up and recapped it and I have brakes. I went ahead and ordered new pads, the 16 year old ones had plenty of pad but the backing was rusted. even cleaned up the looked like the needed replacing. Got insurance and a tag, time to put it back together and see what it does.

Post a video. I'm wondering what that pipe sounds like. PUT-PUT-PUT,,,Gotta get a Yasuni in the build budget!! I bet it is pretty quiet. Just wondering if it sounds like my Derbi, which is pretty quiet with its stock pipe, but still a cool noise. A Yasuni would be awesome on it for sure.

Well the evening went to Sh*t. I got the plastic cleaned a bit and back on. Its one thing when you took it off but another when some one else did. It did go together well and looks good:
I took it out on the street and it is quieter then I thought. I didn't get far because it started to bog and the instrument lights and temperature gauge weren't hooked up solidly. I pulled it back in to fix and adjust it when I saw a pool of water under the scoot. On investigation I saw it was coming from the weep hole. Damn the seals are gone on the water pump and leaking. fortunately I'm only running water not antifreeze. I'm not sure why this wasn't a problem Earlier, maybe under load it happened. I have heard that I'll have to split the case to fix it, spaz12 or derbiman do either of you have experience with this. The only manual I can find that explains it is for the Piaggio motor. I found the repair kit at Racing Planet so it will be 2-3 weeks before I get it. Are the Derbi and Piaggio motors close when it comes to the water pump? I guess its off to the back of the garage next to the Roughhouse, time to work on the TGB. I look forward to any help on the water pump repair.

Sorry pinkscoot, I've never played around with one of those motors, but I would hope that it's not that hard.

I don't have any experience with the lc engines but if you tap the manuals tab on the left side of the screen, there is a Derbi manual that will tell you what to do to repair it. You should only have to remove the left side cover and the variator pulley to get to the water pump components.

I have looked at the Manuals and they tell all about the pump in the Piaggio but are vague on the Derbi engine. I have the kit on order and will start at the gear and work my way in and see what I find. It looks like it requires special tools that are probably not available. It will be my first experience splitting cases if it goes that far. Hey this is a hobby that I enjoy learning new things at. I will be sure to document the process.

sambo2013 , That is the very same thing I had. Its probably the seal on the water pump. on the left is a link to the manuals and the Derbi engines are there. They have a very good instructions on replacing the water pump on the Piaggio engine. I found the kit at Racing Planet, but it will come from Germany. I'll keep you posted on my fix for this.
I'm at work with a 3 hour show so lots of time and went looking for a BBK for the Derbi and found this, Derbi Ebay BBK. Its for an Alantis but they are the same engine from all of my research. Any opinions on this? Brent always says that the generic BBK's are not a bad option.
Edit: Never mind, its a 12mm pin. The predator is a 10mm I think.
