Avoiding scams

We have all heard of the normal scams of the Nigerian prince and such I came across a good one some people may not think twice about. When selling a bike on Craigslist I was going back and forth a few times with someone that was persistent in knowing the background of the bike with vehicle history.

Here is their response:

I'd just really appreciate it if you can get report and that you get it from researchusvin.com because i'd like to repay you for it if we make a deal, and they're cheaper than carfax, and you know how it is, every dollar you save counts. I don't want to get it myself because if it's bad then i just wasted my money,but you can still use it however it turns out. I would like to see bike tomorrow if you are free (and if everything is ok with history report).

I replied with a free one and never heard from them again. The lengths some people will go to. It may be a legitimate site but they somehow get access to your credit card info. Be careful boys and girls.

Wow! I think that Jill may not really be her real name. Actually, she may not even be a "She". Thanks for posting this as scams only work because they "appear" to be really plausible. Sounds like Phishing to me.
