I bought a hydraulic press. it works. needed to drill a few holes to raise the work up higher. the bottle jack struggled towards the end of its reach. even after adding fluid

I got some of their roloc sanding discs. The threads for those don't screw in tight to the mandrel that I have, which fits the 3M brand well. That means they fly off when you stop unless you hold the pad against whatever you're sanding till it stops rotating. I bought their mandrel and that does hold them, but it's a larger diameter than the mandrel I'm used to and I can't angle it to get spots that I can with the other. Because of how it holds it, I don't think it will hold if cut back. The threads still aren't tight, but the mandrel curves up to help hold against the rest of the disc. I will say that the discs do seem to last as well as the 3M ones. I expected the opposite; fit fine but don't last, so I was surprised by that.

I bought these little saw blades that fit in a Dremel and was impressed with them the first time that I used them because they cut right through plastic body panels without leaving a lot of that like burnt plastic you get when using a cut off wheel. The next time that I went to use them they were out of balance. Didn't matter which blade I used. I'm thinking that it's the screw that secures them to the mandrel because the holes in the blades are just a bit larger than the screw. Anyway, they're no good in my opinion and wickedly dangerous.

Does the 1500 Watt Dual Temperature Heat Gun 572°/1112° for $12.00 work? I've been using a hair drier.

so, last night was the FIRST time using an impact wrench (I really didn't even know cordless impact wrench existed. Sad, I know...). Wow, what a discovery! The speed ,and the ease of your assembly is really incredible. You could have socket, allen, and screw drives all in a quick change! And there are so many accessories for these tools! Just love the rattle rattle tat tat tat...

Not meaning to steer this thread , just wanted to ask. How do you use your ultrasonic cleaner for cylinders? I never even thought of using it for cleaning parts! Damn. I use it for making Eliquid for my vaporizers. Usually just calls for water and or a drop of dish soap.
And really senna.... LMAO. YOU!?! My hubby gave me his old dewalt impact driver 😁 He has a Milwaukee.

I usually use mostly water with a little Simple Green when cleaning parts in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Yes, I bought one too, and only for like $10 w/ 20% off.
It works fine enough, and definitely much better than a hair drier.

heat guns are awesome. I'm a ew fan of shrink wrap. I use the heat gun to pop bubbles on my epoxy resin art ! The hair dryer just blew it all over the place lol I'ma try out the sonic cleaner and see how much of this carbon rez I can get rid of! I hope they fit. I might need to flip my parts halfway through done

Some come out really clean once you wipe them off or even without wiping on some occasions. Tough stuff like carbon deposits is likely to be softened or partially removed so it's easier to clean. I'm sure there are better results to be had if you find the magic combo of chemicals for cleaning in each application. I wouldn't buy one if it were just for cleaning cylinders. A rotary toll and some wire brushes will clean carbon out of ports and the head and piston quickly.

This is the only brand that I've seen besides the Dremel brand saw blade that comes with a guard and is probably super restrictive in what it could be used for. Maybe you can find something different? I just looked and there are plenty out there... duckduckgo.com/?q=saw+blade+for+rotary+tool&atb=v57-1_a&ia=products

my experiences seem to be the electric impact is great but strong...be careful. the 20v impact is awesome too but the battery starts dying fast after a cpl years. most of my drill bits from there are junk. ive broke (twisted in two) many ratchet extentions and ALL their 1/2 to 3/8 adapters. the sockets themselves seem good though. badland wenches seem to be worth the money if cared for
