Okay, i think i am going to buy that spring and see what happens. Any ideas about the pin though? The pin that goes on the end of the rod. Searching for gy6 50 main stand pin or gy6 50 center stand pin doesn't seem to be working. |

Check your case and see if there's a bolt hole there.

Yay! We got it in.
The spring came in on Tuesday and we got to it this morning. A little hammering got the bolt through, as it was not perfectly straight. A nail is being used instead of the cotter pin, which we may replace soon. (I do not know what size to get.)
To get the spring on, he used a screwdriver as a lever, and once the spring was down far enough, it was coaxed to slide into place.
Thank you for all the help! Next to work on the low beams, but that post comes later.
