For plastic to fiberglass lexel is great stuff. That and west system g flex. Looks really sick man. Do you think that it'll come apart at some time? The fiberglass separate from the plastic?

Like, fall apart after driving around for awhile? Or if you want to rip it apart?
Lexel is kind of a more do anything goop. A lot of people use it to glue in knee pads and pedestals and whatnot for ww kayaking and canoeing. It's manufacturer recommended for like a billion bonding and sealing applications. For dissimilar materials you might be able to pry (and I mean pry) it off at a later date. It's a lot more flexible than g flex, and you could rip (cut/skin really) it apart if you wanted to. Maybe. If it's going to be really flexy at the mating areas and you need more gap filling ability, this could work well. Full cure takes 2 forevers and 3 eons.
G flex is fantastic stuff. While it's more flexible than most epoxy resins, it's still substantially stiffer than Lexel. It's hard to tell how much surface area you have for bonding. If you have a lot, G flex is probably the way to go. If you have a large surface area bonded, it's going to be damn near (or probably) impossible to get apart. If you're looking to mate plastic and fiberglass together for good, I'd be hard pressed to think of a better adhesive. You can pick it up at West Marine. If you want to use this but need gap filling, you could add west system 404 or 406 fillers.
So I guess depending on what you want, those are two good, proven options. As you know, surface prep is key.
Either way, I applaud what you're doing!

Thanks Fly! As far as attaching the fairing (?) to the belly pan, I'm just going to be using the 4 screw points. The two pieces have small gaps, but like the rest of the body panels on these things, I've come to accept them because in the end, it's just a scooter. All my friends continually remind me of that fact. where I attached the fiberglass to the plastic I used 320 paper and roughed up a really big portion of the plastic and for the most part it seems like it'll hold. In the front, where I cut too much out I was a little worried because I didn't have much to attach to and ended up sanding off a lot of what was there that binds the two together. Since you mentioned it, I think I should now go in behind and add some of the glue that you mentioned. I'm thinking of doing the rear body panels as well, but I've been stalling on that because I'm hoping that I get another scoot into the country...

I'm trying. I would think that the damn thing is here already, but I haven't heard anything from Customs, DOT or the EPA. I'll start making calls on Monday if I don't hear anything this week.

That's awesome man, I hope it works out for you. Would you ditch the Zuma and put all your goodies on the jog?

I won't get rid of the Zuma, but it'll be put somewhere and all the parts I have on it will go onto the Jog.

I don't have anything for the CY50 except some calipers that are from an Aerox. Was thinking that I had a crank, but it won't fit. I have some stock tranny parts, but unlikely that you'd want those. Maybe PIG has some parts??
