I was there for Andrew in '92. I was in Palm Beach and we just got a bunch of wind and water, but boy was it interesting.

I don't mind the storms. They are good for business and overtime. I work on backup generators. Just trying to navigate the roads afterwards sucks. Be safe everyone.

Smooth sailing down here John! Well, maybe a bad choice of words ha. Although it's a pretty serious storm- it did reach hurricane status at landfall- and lots of damage and flooding pretty close to me, it's been nothing more than gray skies and lots of rain. Some wind gusts and tornado watches here and there but true Northeners would scoff and write it up as a typical rainy and blustery few days haha. Unfortunately a lot of folks aren't so luckily and it seems the worst is yet to come...  |

Hopefully Florida has seen it's first...and last Hurricane for another 11 years
I was in the middle of Wilma's damage area and had no power for 3 freaking weeks. Good thing it was late October.

Rolled right over us,I'd call it a gentle hurricane,,lots of rain,some wind,no twisters,no lightning..I did lose power for 23 hours,but us country folk are set up for that..Just another day down South.....

Just left Sun in Fun Sarasota Fla camp ground 2 weeks ago got to love my smoky mountain home nothing much goes on here except heat or a little chilly in winter but still get a lot of time riding in area LOL
