Hey all, new to the forums and new to owning scoots too! Names Tony, live in MN (short riding season, no-yay) and currently have a nice, operational '08 schwinn newport (139qmb) and a busted, not running project 06 TNG Venice (1E40qmb) - i'm going to try putting together a rebuild journal of the venice - and if i can convince my wife, get some upgrades done on her newport with postings. I hope to pick your collective knowledge soon, glad to be here!

Welcome! There is tons of info in the Tech Section. That is where I learned to work on scoots (now I can change a set of rollers in the CVT in 20 minutes and have it running down the road). Plus all the members will help with advice. There is a lot of 2 stroke gurus on the forum.
Above all, Have Fun!

Just updating this post to include some new life changes. My family gas grown to include 2 beautiful new girls through adoption! Their 3 teenage brothers are excited to have them as are we!
I know i've expressed recently without much of an explanation that my life has been busy and i'd been broke. We just relocated to a much bigger living area and had to pick up loads of new furnishings and other necessities. As these needs are now covered, my scooter funding should return, though my time still goes first to these precious gems of ours.
Hopefully soon i'll start contributing updates to my projects again, not just assistance to fixits and watching these other amazing projects of you all's grow!

Not gonna lie, teenage boys are waaaaay more expensive. Gotta make enough food to feed a small army, their toys are electronic, and they rough-house through clothes faster than we can buy em. One is 17, he has a job, his drivers license, and saved up for his own car. He does well for himself.
Adopting these girls though, we also get some grant money to help for the first year because they were taken out of a really rough home and housed in foster care awhile. My wife and i are also furthering ourselves, she's currently a nursing assistant working on her RN, and i'm starting at dennis kirk in phone tech support. They want me to get more familiar with all the products they carry and what their customers are looking for before moving me up to marketing/sales. Crossing my fingers!
