I am shocked that to save about $.10, scooter manufacturers don't put helmet hooks on scooters that lock.
I put a helmet hook on the inside of the seat bucket. I used a 3M removable hook (installed upside down), a buckle like mountain climbers use (cheap version, I bought it as a keychain).
I mocked up where to stick the 3M hook by putting the green buckle on my helmet strap buckles, then marking the spot where the hook should go. I stuck the hook in place upside down so it holds the helmet in place.
Hook the green buckle to the metal strap buckles on the helmet, then hook the green buckle to the 3M hook. The seat closes real easily, and now I can lock my helmet to my scooter instead of carrying it around. The reason for using the green hook is that the 3M sticker hook would be mounted too high up and might interfere with the seat..
The total cost was less than $7.
