Anyone into HotRod Drag Week? Today is day 4 of 5 total in Indy. My son and i are going to watch.. More on the topic Now i gotta try to get a nap lol  |

I usually watch it on 1320, but that's about the extent of me following it. Motor Trend Channel has been posting 6+ hour vids from each day, so if there's anything you wanna see again you can check there. www.youtube.com/user/MotorTrendHope you guys have a blast. It should be cool to see some of the big dogs that we hear about every year as well as all the rest of the muscle there. |

I used to go to the drags back in the day,walk the pits for free,talk to the pit crews,,stand between the top fuelers on the starts(Now you know why I cant hear,,),see all the REAL action going on in the pits,,,Those days are gone,and my hearing too!!  |

We ended up going in a back gate by accident in our red Jimmy. We made our way around to the staging lanes and literally sat by the back fence watching all the cars i have been fallowing for years idle by within a few feet of us sitting in the truck. We watched from that position for a few minutes then moved around to the racers pits and parked with them and unloaded our BMX,s for some riding around to see, meet, greet etc. We werent supposed to even be there and TBH i never found the main gate until we had left back out a back gate and many minutes and miles later we drove right by the huge and very busy main gate. It was an honest mistake but worked out for us as we got POV,s from all ends of the track.
I havent had time to look aver it but we are probably in the vid from day 4 in Indy at some point or two?
I believe i could have writen some BS #,s on the window and rolled the ole 200,000mile Jimmy through the traps before they knew who/what i was.. Like streaking at a football game of sorts. Itd kinda be worth it but not if i was never aloud to be in drag week or back to Lucas dragway. Good times!

Had to see the Mustangs with the FE,s. One is a cammer and the owner replaced both cams the night before. It was nice to see these and talk to the owners.
